At home

Applying some simple guidelines to your power consumption habits will allow you to make a saving on your electricity bill. Below, we will show you how to do this:

  • Unplug all electronic equipment that you are not using. Stand-by mode may account for up to 7% of energy consumption in the home.
  • Correct use of the heating and air conditioning, increasing and decreasing the temperature by one degree. It is considered that temperatures of between 19 and 21º in winter and 24 and 26º in summer offer the best ratio between comfort and energy saving in the home.
  • Effective insulation of windows and doors will prevent heat loss with the consequent reduction in the use of heating.
  • Take advantage of solar energy to heat the house and avoid having the light on.
  • If you are thinking of changing electrical appliances, make sure that they are "class A", are highly ecological and guarantee a significant energy saving in the home.

By adopting these guidelines in your habits you will achieve a saving on your electricity bill, as well as being environmentally responsible.
